Welcome to California Dive Guy. Based in San Diego, I provide hands-on technical diving instruction rooted in real Pacific conditions, deliberate preparation, and genuine team capability.
Rooted in the Pacific
I am a PADI Instructor Development Course Staff, Tec Deep, and Tec Sidemount Instructor. My background is built directly in local Pacific waters—facing cold temperatures, surf entries, kelp, depth, and limited visibility. These demanding conditions require more than standard training: they demand honest preparation, situational awareness, and total respect for the ocean. All divers are welcome, from those taking their very first breaths underwater to experienced divers refining complex technical setups.

It is about building truly capable divers who understand the exact reasons behind every protocol, plan carefully, dive deliberately, and prioritize teammates. Whether you are transitioning out of recreational diving, learning sidemount, or moving toward advanced decompression, the core focus stays identical: competence before complexity.
